Thank you Kevin !

During the June 11th, 2025’s Annual General Meeting of the OPP Youth Foundation, Chief Superintendent Dumond presented long-time volunteer with a Commissioner’s Scroll. For over 21 years, Kevin has had an unwavering dedication and commitment to the youth of Ontario, leaving a lasting legacy. Through his dedication he helped to bridge a gap between the youth in the communities we serve and the OPP. Officers raise funds in memory of PC Greg Pierzchala

Following our OPP AGM, the Executive were beyond pleased to be presented with a cheque from a selfless group of officers, who on their own, raised funds in memory of Provincial Constable Greg Pierzchala. Detective Constable Danielle Bedard represented officers enrolled in a 2 week Investigating Offences Against Children course at OPP Central Region. Other policing agencies involved included OPC, the Cornwall Community Police Service, Ottawa Police Service, Peel Regional Police Service and The Greater Sudbury Police Service. Danielle Bedard: “Although Greg’s time as an officer was cut far too short, he made a tremendous impact on many of us. His obvious passion to policing and his untimely death reminded us on why we do what we do and we as a class couldn’t think of a better charity to donate to. Wonderful to know we are helping another individual join the policing community in memory of Greg.: The OPPYF thanks this class for their generosity. All monies raised will be held in trust in Greg Pierzchala’s name. Madison Hainstock Co-Chair

November 21st, 2024 Ontario Provincial Police Youth Foundation 777 Memorial Avenue L3V 7V3 Dear OPPYF Directors, On behalf of the Lanark County Female First Responders Camp, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous sponsorship. Your support played a crucial role in the success of this event, and we are deeply appreciative of your commitment to empowering female representation in law enforcement, paramedic, and firefighting services. LCFFRC is an immersive introduction to the professional world of first responders, where the underrepresentation remains a significant issue. By engaging with local community members and asking questions, young women learn about viable and rewarding career options. At the same time, the camp is a space where women already employed in the emergency services can meet each other and forge bonds. The camp was a tremendous success, with 30 young women gaining invaluable skills and knowledge under the guidance of 26 volunteers from across Lanark County. Thank you again for your support and for being an essential part of our team. We look forward to the possibility of partnering with you again in the future to continue making a difference in our community. Sincerely, Madison Hainstock Co-Chair, Lanark County Female First Responders Camp

Frontenac

Hello I wanted to thank you for your assistance in helping us OPP – Frontenac Officers / Auxiliaries / Civilians to promote a little of the Christmas Spirit and foster the positive relationships with our youth, by being in the public eye in a positive light. We handed out candy and activity books along the route. Officers in full uniform approached spectators along the way to make the image of an officer less intimidating and more trusting, friendly. Too often we are perceived by Children to only be at a location “ because somebody is in trouble”. Officers work long hours to change that perception. I’ve included the receipts and some pictures. Thank-you so much Cst Rob Martell Frontenac OPP
