Following our OPP AGM, the Executive were beyond pleased to be presented with a cheque from a selfless group of officers, who on their own, raised funds in memory of Provincial Constable Greg Pierzchala.
Detective Constable Danielle Bedard represented officers enrolled in a 2 week Investigating Offences Against Children course at OPP Central Region. Other policing agencies involved included OPC, the Cornwall Community Police Service, Ottawa Police Service, Peel Regional Police Service and The Greater Sudbury Police Service.
Danielle Bedard: “Although Greg’s time as an officer was cut far too short, he made a tremendous impact on many of us. His obvious passion to policing and his untimely death reminded us on why we do what we do and we as a class couldn’t think of a better charity to donate to. Wonderful to know we are helping another individual join the policing community in memory of Greg.:
