The #shopwithacop event was a huge success thanks to the incredible support from FSB, Canadian Tire Orillia, and the OPP Youth Foundation Who is FSB? The Field Support Bureau (FSB) is a specialized branch of the OPP that provides critical support services across the province. This includes units such as Emergency Response, Canine, Aviation, Technical Support, and more; working together to enhance frontline policing and community safety. We were proud to have representation from all units within FSB, coming together to make this day special for local youth. Thank you

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the support that you and the committee have shown for these kids. In small northern communities, opportunities for financial support to participate in extracurricular activities can be incredibly limited. While kids all across Ontario face unique socio-economic challenges, in the north it’s often more visible, and this kind of support truly makes a difference. As an involved “Dance Dad,” it’s heartbreaking to see kids who want to participate but can’t. But when I see the ones who’ve been supported by the OPP Youth Foundation thriving – fitting in, building connections with their peers, and finding positive role models in their teachers – it makes me proud to know the Foundation played a part in that. Thank you again for helping make that possible.

Grenville County 2nd Annual End-of-Year Community BBQ

2nd Annual End-of-Year Community BBQ in Grenville County, supported by the OPP Youth Foundation & the Watson Family Community Event Fund. Grenville County OPP – Prescott Detachment Dear OPP Youth Foundation I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to ensure our 2nd Annual End-of-Year Community BBQ is successful. This celebration would not have been possible without your incredible contributions. Your generosity allowed us to provide delicious food, exciting activities, and memorable experiences for families and youth across Prescott. From a delicious BBQ, snow cones, cotton candy to games, face painting, and even a foam party, your support created an event that brought our community together in joy and connection. The turnout exceeded our expectations, and the smiles on the faces of children and families were a true reflection of the impact your donations made. Please know that your sponsorship did more than help fun an event, it strengthened community spirit, supported local families, and helped us build a tradition that will continue to grow in the years ahead. We are deeply thankful for your commitment to our community and look forward to working together again in the future. With sincere appreciation, Sgt Julie Anne De Groot

Carl Armstrong Memorial Golf Tournament raises $2,000 for the YF

Fifty six golfers “tee’d it up” in the 34 degree weather at the annual Carl Armstrong Memorial Golf Tournament on Thursday July 24th at the Circled Pine Golf Course at Base Borden.  All the golfers were able to complete their rounds before the heavens opened up with heavy wind and rain. Bill Hutton, Alfie Howat and Rob Stroud won the Carl Armstrong Memorial Trophy.  The most honest golfers were Bob and Mary Billinghurst, Susan Bach and Klaus Katsch.  Everyone enjoyed the hamburger and fries lunch and the chicken parmesan supper.  The course was in fantastic shape and we all had a great time. Thank you to all the organizations and individuals that donated prizes and a special thanks to Candice Harris and the staff at Circled Pines Golf Club for the wonderful day. The big winner was the OPP Youth Foundation as the tournament raised $2000.00 for them. Next year’s tournament has been booked for July 23rd, 2026.  Hope to see you there.
